Meet the Long Beach Team Behind Vance Gate Repair Long Beach
The Long Beach crew at Vance Gate Repair has one thing in common: none of us started in gate repair. Adrian came from commercial access control. Marcus came from low-voltage electrical. Rosa came from commercial dispatch. Daniel came to us as an apprentice with more curiosity than experience, and now runs his own truck. What that mix gives you is a team that sees the whole system, not just the part that failed. We answer the phone at (424) 788-1027 with a live person, and the person who shows up has a name, a face, and a written price before they touch anything.
Our People
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been with Vance Gate Repair since 2018, and before that he spent six years running low-voltage power for commercial buildings across Long Beach. That background matters when a gate motor is drawing fine at the outlet but starving at the control board, which is the kind of diagnosis most people can’t see without a multi-meter and some patience. He is our first call for swing-gate arm replacements, Viking and FAAC boards, and any job where the wiring diagram looks more like a plate of spaghetti than a circuit. Marcus is the guy who will draw you a quick sketch of what was changed and why before he drives off. He rebuilds a 1974 CB750 in his garage on Signal Hill in his spare time, which is exactly the kind of spare time a lead tech should have.
Rosa D., Service Coordinator
Rosa is the voice you hear when you call (424) 788-1027 at 2 a.m. or 2 p.m. She came to us from commercial dispatch for an access-control firm in Carson, so she doesn’t flinch when a homeowner calls about a gate that won’t close and a car that can’t wait. Rosa’s job is to get the right technician to your property with the right parts, not to put you in a callback queue. She keeps a photo log of every job filed by address and by gate type, which is why our repeat customers don’t have to explain their setup twice. Rosa lives in Bixby Knolls with two rescue dogs and will not give you a time window she can’t keep.
Daniel K., Lead Installer
Daniel joined us as an apprentice in 2020 after spending a year doing structural welding on cargo containers at the port. He earned his lead installer spot the honest way: by carrying tools, watching, and asking questions until the answers came with a wrench in hand. Daniel handles most of our new automatic gate installations, double gate in-fill on older driveways, and the steel work when a rusted post means the gate sags no matter how many times you adjust the hinge. Long Beach salt air is hard on metal, and Daniel knows which coatings hold up between the breakwater and the 405. When he finished his first solo install in Belmont Heights, the customer watched him wipe down the gate and said it looked better than the day the first one was installed. Daniel still carries that standard on every job.
Adrian Vance, Owner
Adrian founded Vance Gate Repair in 2014 after years of wiring commercial access-control sites, where documenting every relay and every limit switch position wasn’t optional. He’s the one who wrote the Haven Standard clauses that every technician follows: the written price before work begins under Clause 1, the documented photo record under Clause 4, and the 365-Day Done Right Promise that covers any completed repair for one full year. If you get Adrian on a job, you’ll get a straight answer about whether your motor is worth repairing or if you’re throwing money at a housing that’s already corroded through. He lives in this city, services nine automation brands, and refuses to steer a customer toward a replacement when a limit switch reset or a cap swap fixes the gate. His favorite fix is still the one where the customer expected a $900 motor and got a $140 board repair instead.
One Standard, Every Job

Every technician in Long Beach carries the same promise: a written price handed over before any work starts, a photo record of what was found and what was changed left with you on the spot, and a 365-day window where if the fix doesn’t hold, we come back and make it right without an argument or another invoice. We don’t do “call for a quote” because you should know the number before you decide anything. All of us are licensed and insured, background-checked, and dispatched with a name and photo sent before we arrive under the Haven Standard. Every brand we touch, from LiftMaster to Ghost Controls to Viking, gets the same documentation habit Adrian started on commercial sites back in 2014. If you need a gate looked at today, call (424) 788-1027. The person who answers will be one of us, not an automated loop.
